This Satu is make during the Marawadi festival, i like it so much & i learnt it from my firends.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 1 cup daliya(sometime called dariya )
    • 1 cup sugar powder
    • 1/2 cup ghee
    • Few almond slices
    • Few raisins
    • Few chironji
    • 1 tsp cardamom powder

    Directions

    1. Roast daliya ,grind it & make a fine powder of it.
    2. In one bowl mix together daliya powder, sugar, ghee & cardamom powder.
    3. Mix it well & knead it until turns to soften dough.(don't use water or milk to soften it)
    4. Divide the dough in to 5-6 portions & make a flatten bolls of it.
    5. Garnish it with chironji at center sorrounded with almonds slices & raisins.
    6. Store them in a air-tight container.

    hi guys, daliya is the broken wheat ...it is also used in making haleeem.. though am frm chennai i dnt know its exact name...

    hi sonali, thanks for remembering me, satu requires thick ghee which will melt while kneading the mixture.

    Hi kirti,looks so tasty n easy.I'll try it,but tht ghee should be thick or liquid(warm ghee)?
