Tava Naan Khatai

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 2 Cup Maida
    • 2 Cup Sugar Powder
    • 2 Cup Refine Oil
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp Meetha Soda
    • 1/2 tsp Elaichi Powder
    • 6-7 drops of Vanila Essence

          For decoration use cherry


    1. In a bowl mix maida, sugar powder, refine oil, baking powder, meetha soda, elachi powder, vanila essence well.
    2. Knead well, the dough should be soft. And make small balls of it.
    3. Use non stick tava and grease it with the cloth having oil in it.
    4. Put small balls (like peda size) on non stick tava on low  flame.
    5. Press the chery on small balls and cover it with plate.
    6. After 4-5min turn off the gas.
    7. Take the nonkhatai from tava after 10-15 min.
    8. Your nonkhatai is ready for eat.



    no Alifiya it cant be prepared without meetha soda(sodium bicarbonate......white in colour).


    what is Meetha Soda?? Can this dish be prepared without it??
