Pumpkin Halwa

Quick sweet for the guests!

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

    • 1 kg White Pumpkin
    • 1 cup Sugar
    • 10 Cashwenuts
    • 10 Dry Grapes
    • 1 tblsp Ghee (clarified butter)
    • few strands of Saffron
    • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder 


    1. Remove the skin & spongy part of the Pumpkin completely. Grate & slightly remove the excess water by squeezing it.
    2. Heat Ghee in a kadai, fry Cashwenuts & Dry Grapes. Remove & keep aside.
    3. In the same ghee, add the grated Pumpkin & fry for 10 mins or till soft on Medium heat. All the water should dry.
    4. Now add Sugar, Cardamom powder & Safforn. Mix well for 10 mins. 
    5. Add the fried Cashwenuts & Dry grapes. Mix & serve hot or chilled.
