Cabbage with Dal

This is bhaji of cabbage and dal.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

  • ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 lb Cabbage, finely chopped
  • ½ cup Green Gram (split), or toor dal
  • ½ tsp Mustard seeds (black)
  • 3 nos. Green Chilies
  • 1 no. Garlic
  • 2 tbsps. Vegetable Oil
  • Salt to taste

Directions

Preparations:
  1. Soak dal for 1 hour.
  2. Boil them in 1 1/2 cup water until soft.(Keep aside the boiled dal)
Method :
  1. Add mustard,cumin seeds to oil till splutter.
  2. add garlic paste and cabbage, mix it well.
  3. Close the vessel and allow it to boil for 6 to 8 minutes on medium flame.
  4. Keep stirring occassionaly. When cabbage becomes soft then add dal, salt and mix well.
  5. Add some water and further cook for 7 to 8 minutes with closed vessel.

hi dear instead of frying cabbage you can keep it in cooker for one wistle, it goes well wit dal

This is a wonderful dish for a person, who has just come home and who just has a cabbage in the fridge. This is a wholesome meal. Will go well with roti as well as rice. Good Work

This is a totally useless dish ( hardly a dish ). Basically this guy bought some cabbage and did not know how to use it. So one day he tried this thing. It goes on to show how immaturish somebody can be. Grow up da.
