Curd adds the tangy taste to this spicy recipe, serve this dish as a wholemeal with chapatis or rice.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 8-10 baby potatoes
    • 2 cup curd
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric
    • 1 tsp red chilly powder
    • 1 tsp coriander powder
    • Handful chopped fresh coriander
    • salt to taste
    • 3 tsp oil
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    • 1 tsp ground cumin seeds
    • 2 sliced green chilies
    • 1 tsp sugar



    1. Boil the potatoes in a salted water. remove the skin & keep them aside.
    2. Take a medium bowl. mix together curd, turmeric, chilly powder,salt, ground coriander ,ground cumin & sugar.
    3. Add 2 cup water, mix it properly.
    4. Heat a pan with oil, add cumin seeds, once crackle pour the curd mixture, stir continuously & cook for 5 min on medium heat(keep string otherwise curd gravy may start getting separate  ) 
    5. Add coriander, chopped chillies & cooked potatoes. mix it well & cook further for 5 min. 
    6. Before serving garnish with coriander leaves & serve.
