Crunchy Chegodi

No one can eat just one. Home made snack that stays good even after a fortnight

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 2 cups Rice flour
    • 1 tsp Green gram dhal
    • 1 tsp Cumin
    • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
    • 2 tsp Red chilly powder
    • Salt as per taste
    • Oil for deep-frying

    Directions

    1. Boil water and keep ready to use
    2. Mix all the ingredients in a spacious bowl
    3. Now make a depression in the middle and pour steaming hot water into it.
    4. Carefully mix with a wooden ladle.
    5. When warm knead uniformly with hand.
    6. Now heat oil
    7. Make small balls from the dough and roll them to long round strips of 5 or 6 inches,now join the ends and press to form a ring.
    8. Make at least 10 such chegodis and fry them at the same time in hot oil till dark golden.
    9. Cool and store in airtight container.

    sorry....i forgot to mention water measure! thank you mital... WATER HAS TO BE THE SAME AS RICE FLOUR i.e., 1:1 ABOVE RECIPE NEEDS 2 CUPS WATER
