Cabbage Salad

A crunchy and easy to prepare salad

A crunchy salad preparation learnt from my husband. Can be had with chappatis too.

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

  • 2 cups Cabbage, chopped
  • 2 tbsps. Peanuts, powdered
  • ½ cup Coconut, grated
  • 1 tsp Vegetable Oil
  • 2 nos. Green Chilies, small
  • piece Ginger, small piece
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tsps. Lime juice
  • Salt to taste


  1. Mix chopped cabbage, grated coconut, peanut powder and lemon juice.
  2. Heat oil, put in small pieces of chillies, chopped ginger and turmeric.
  3. Mix the seasoning with the cabbage mixture just before serving.
  4. Add the salt to taste




i always make this salad but with a variation. i add sugar powder in it .


I enjoyed this salad but made it with little variation. Instead of turmeric I used mustard seed for seasoning. I also tried the same dressing for grated beetroot salad.
