Stuffed Buns

Excellent snack

Get those leftover buns from Pav-bhaji and make this simple yet yummy delight.

Ingredients vegetarian 3 servings

  • 6 pieces Dinner Rolls, not sweet ones
  • 1 no. Cucumber, chopped
  • 1 no. Onion, chopped
  • ¾ cup Cabbage, shredded
  • 5 nos. Potato, boiled
  • Tomato Sauce to taste
  • Chili Sauce (green) to taste
  • Cheese to taste, cheddar, grated

1 cup White Sauce (see method)

Directions

  1. Scoop the buns. Apply butter. Place potato slice.
  2. Spread 1 tablespoon white sauce. Make a layer of cabbage and cucumber and chopped onion. Sprinkle salt and pepper. Cover with white sauce and grated cheese.
  3. Bake in pre-heated oven at 100 degree for 15-20 minutes. Serve with both sauces.
  4. White sauce :
    Heat 1 tablespoon butter. Add 1 tablespoon maida.
    Fry till light brown.
    Add 1 cup milk. Keep stirring constantly till thick. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Tip: goes well with wafers/ french fries.

Hi meenal, your recipe sounds good,, but have a doubt. i dint understand the meaning of scoop the bun. and do u mean all vegetables cut in round slices or finely chopped. expect u to reply at the earliest/ thanks
