Himachali delicacy which is served in Weddings

An exotic mixture of whole garam masala and curd

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    Chickpeas 250 gms Curd 250 gms Whole garam masala (nutmeg, mace, black cardamom, green cardamom,cloves,cinnamon,) Cumin seeds 1 tsp coriander powder 2 tsp Turmeric pwd 1 tsp Red chilli pwd acc to taste Salt to taste Oil for tempering Fresh malai 2tbsp Cornflour 1tsp Desi Ghee 4tbsp


    1. Soak the green cardamom and mace in 2 tsp milk and keep aside. Grind rest of whole garam masala.
    2. Pre boil the chickpeas without adding salt to it
    3. Heat oil in a kadhai. To this add fresh cream and all the masala and fry for some time till the oil separates.
    4. Now add boiled chickpeas without water and salt to taste. Cook for some time
    5. Whip the curd, add cornflour and pour into the kadhai. Cook till it boils and then add 4 tbsp of desi ghee and a pinch of ground garam masala.
