Mango Milk Kheer

Mango pieces and pulp cooked in milk with sugar

In this Mango season,you can try this recipe with ripe mangos that are not firm enough to be taken as such(not the rotten one).This recipe needs 6 mins cooking time and a tasty one to try at home.

Ingredients vegetarian 1 servings


    • 1/2 litre full cream milk
    • 17 no.s ripe mango pieces(7 pieces ground as 1 cup pulp)
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/2 tsp green cardamom  powder
    • 15 strands saffron crushed, soaked in 1 tsp hot milk
    • 5 raisins
    • 5 pistachios, crushed
    • 5 cashews, broken into small pieces

    Directions

    1. Soak the raisins in 1 cup hot water for 2 mins.
    2. Boil the full cream milk, with cardamom powder, saffron, and sugar for 10 minutes.
    3. Add the mango pulp to the boiling milk, and stir gently and cook for 3 mins.
    4. Add the remaining mango pieces,cashews,raisins and pistachios and cook for 1 min and turn off the flame.
    5. Serve this hot or chilled.
