drumsticks are popular to the south and is added in most of their curries.this is one such....!!!the same can be variated by adding mutton instead of potatoes by adjusting the chilli spice
Ingredients
vegetarian 4 servings
2 drumsticks cut into 1 inch lenghth
1 potato
1 tomato
7-8 pods of garlic
1 inch piece of ginger
1 tsp fennel seeds
3 cloves
1 inch cinnamon
3-4 tsps grated coconut
1-1/2 tsp dhaniya
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp jeera
1/2 tsp fenugreek
few curry leaves and coraiander
Directions
heat oil in a kadai and fry dhaniya,fennel seeds, clove, cinnamon, coconut,garlic and ginger and the tomato and grind to paste.
pour some more oil and season with mustard, jeera, fenugreek and curry leaves.
add the finely chopped onions and fry till brown
add the drumsticks to this and add the turmeric and chilli powde, salt and coriander leaves and stir continuosly.
to this add the ground masala and the potaoes and fry till the oil seperates.
pour in adequate water and allow it to boil till the vegetable is done.
