Vegetable stew

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 onion
    • 1  carrot cut into 1 inch length
    • 5-6 french beans cut into 1 inch length
    • 20 gms green peas
    • 1 potato cut into cubes
    • 3-4 green chillies
    • 2-3 tsps of ginger juvenillies or finely chopped
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric(optional)
    • 1 1/2 cup 2nd milk of coconut
    • 1/2 cup 1st milk of coconut
    • salt to taste


    1. Heat oil and fry the onions , green chillies, and ginger till onions turn pink. (do not let onions change colour.)
    2. Add the vegetables and saute till they turn slightly tender stirring continuously
    3. Add the salt and also the 2nd milk of coconut and cook till the vegetable is fully done.
    4. Now pour in the 1st milk and mix well and turn off the gas.

    i think v can add lavanga patta elaichi too so that the taste will be increased
