Godhi Laadu

Laddu made from Wheat flour

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 cup Wheat flour
    • 1 cup powdered Jaggery or 3/4 cup Sugar
    • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
    • 8-10 Cashwenuts (broken in pieces)
    • 4-5 tblsp Ghee (clarified butter)


    1. Dry roast Wheat flour on low heat till you get nice aroma. The flour should not burn. Remove & keep aside.
    2. In a kadai, heat Ghee. Fry Cashwenuts till golden brown & keep aside.
    3. To the same Ghee, add Jaggery & mix well until all the jaggery is melted. It settles in the bottom & ghee floats.
    4. Add roasted Wheat flour, Cashwenuts & Cardamom powder. Remove from the heat & mix well. Make laddu while it is still warm. If you are not able to make laddu, add 1-2 tblsp of melted Ghee. Serve with coffee or tea.
