Siliq dosa

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 cup raw rice
    • 1 cup parboiled rice
    • 2 tbsp urad dal
    • 2 tsp Sabudana(sago/Jevarusi)
    • 1 cup Siliq (spinach) chopped
    • 2 red chilli
    • 1/2 tsp hing
    • marble sized tamarind
    • Salt
    • 1 tbsp Oil


    1. Soak rice,urad dal,sabudana together for 2 hrs.
    2. Grind them with redchilli,tamarind,hing,& siliq and make smooth paste by adding soaked water itself. 
    3. At last add salt.Ferment for 6 hrs.
    4. In a dosa tawa,grease the onion on the tawa after tawa is heated.
    5. Then pour the batter in the middle and spread it closewise.
    6. Smear oil on all sides.
    7. After it becomes golden brown remove and repeat the other side.

    Note:Grind siliq, redchilli, tamarind and hing seperately with enough salt and can add to the dosa batter, if u have idli or dosa batter already. if u don't want to add tamarind,can avoid it.
