Dashmi

Dashmi is a traditional Maharashtrian dish. In rural areas it is made on banana leaf which is placed on hot tava/pan. Dashmi can be eaten with achar, dal or just as breakfast.

Ingredients vegetarian 1 servings


    • 1 cup suji/rice atta
    • 1 tsp soda-bi-carb
    • 1& 1/2 tsp sugar
    • 1 tsp salt 
    • 1tsp ghee
    • milk to make semi solid batter

     

    Directions

    1. Mix all ingredients together keep aside for 2mins.
    2. Pour the batter on hot pan and cover with lid.
    3. Open the lid after 2-3 steams and put some ghee to around Dashmi.
    4. Turn the side and apply little ghee over it, and cook for another 1 minuite.
    5. Dashmi is ready to eat. It is nutritious as well as it lasts up to 3-4 days. Best during travelling.
