Carrot Dates Raitha

Sweet Curd Dish

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

    • 1 Carrot
    • 2 Dates (seedless)
    • 1 cup Curd
    • 1/4 tbsp Salt
    • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
    • 1/4 tbsp Mustard powder (Optional, Grind the mustard into powder)



    1. Grate the carrot and saute it for few minutes in a pan to remove the rawness (Or microwave for 1-2 mins)
    2. Soak the dates in warm water for some time
    3. Grid the carrot and dates in a mixer to a paste
    4. Mix the paste in curd along with salt and finely chopped corainder leaves
    5. Serve sprinkling the mustard powder on top


    • If you want it spicier, can grind green chillies along with the carrot & dates.
    • To just have it a bit spicier, sprinkle some red chilli powder along with mustard powder





    This dish is good to have it sweeter. But if required, another variation would be to sprinke/mix garam masala for a sweet & spicy taste
