Kothu Parota

with parota flakes shallow fried

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 4 Parota or leftover parota(see how to make parota from my recipes)
    • 1 onion,sliced lengthwise
    • 1 tomato,sliced lengthwise
    • 3 garlic pods,chopped
    • 1 green chilli,slit
    • 1/2 tsp jeera
    • 1/2 tsp dania powder
    • 1 tsp red chilli powder
    • 1/2 tsp garam masala
    • Salt to taste
    • 1 tbsp oil
    • 2 tsp cilantro

    Directions

    1. Crumble the parotas into pieces.
    2. Heat oil in a kadai and splutter jeera,then add chilli,garlic,haldi & onion.Saute till transparent.
    3. Then add tomato and let it become soft.
    4. Add dania powder,chilli powder and garam masala.
    5. Add parota flakes and start porking them with blade knife or steel spatula(tosser) & make small pieces.
    6. Add salt.Mix well.Garnish with cilantro.
    7. Kothu parota is ready.Serve hot with raita.

    Dear Anisha,thanks for ur comments.this kothu parota is very famous in tamilnadu,most of non veg restaurants add egg to it.look into sel masala which i ve posted.i will season in ghee next time.

    Dis same thin can be done with leftover chapattis too... It tastes delicious but while frying use ghee it will taste awsome...
