Chicken canneloni ala india

this is a wonderful combination of the taste of india with creamy white sauce.u can variate ur spices and also try differnt combinations of meat.....sure any one who tries this is going to love it!!

Ingredients non vegetarian 1 servings

    for cannelloni

    • 1/2 cup maida
    • milk enough for making a batter
    • a pinch of salt

    for white sauce

    • 1 tbsp maida
    • 1 cup milk
    • 2 tsp  finely chopped garlic
    • 2 tsp finely chopped onions
    • 1 tbsp butter

    for the filling

    • 250 g minced chicken
    • 1 onion finely chopped
    • 1 tomato finely chopped
    • 3 green chillies
    • 2 tsps kasoori methi leaves
    • 1 tsp red chilli powder
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric
    • garam masala powder
    • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
    • salt to taste



     to make sauce

    1. melt butter in a pan and add the onions and garlic and fry till they turn pink.ensure they don't change colour.
    2. add the maida and allow it to just coat the garlic and onions and add in the milk.
    3. allow to boil and keep stirring till it gets thick and keep aside

    to make cannelloni

    1. mix the maida and the mailk with salt and make a smooth batter without forming lumps.
    2. make pancakes on a tava and keep aside.

    for the filling

    1. heat oil and fry onions,ginger garlic paste and tomatoes.
    2. add all the spice powders and the green chillies and the chicken and cook till 15-20 minutes allowing it to cook well.
    3. add in the kasoori methi also and cook the chicken till all the water has absorbed and is dry.

    to proceed

    1. place the pan cakes one by one and keep the filling and make a roll.
    2. place the rolls on a baking dish and arrange.
    3. pour the white sauce over it and sprinkle some grated cheese(optional)
    4. bake at 180 degrees for 10 minutes or till the sauce  slightly browns.
    5. serve hot
