1 cup broken vermicelli(break into small pieces).
1 cup fresh milk.
sugar to taste.
1/2 tsp cardamom pwd.
1 cup milk full cream evaporated milk.
Almonds and pistas for garnishing.
pinch of red colour.
few drops of rose essence(optinal)
1/2 tbsp ghee
Fry vermicelli in ghee till pink. add sultanas and fry for a second .
Add fresh milk, cardamom pwd and sugar, immediately lower the heat. let it cook till milk is absorbed and vermicelli turns soft.
Add pinch of red colour and evaporated milk, continue cooking till bit thick (not dried up. coz when it cools it will be very dry.) Remove from fire and add rose essence. mix it.
Garnish with almonds and pistas.
Keep in refrigerator and serve cold.
Some people like this dessert warm.
