Bittergourd pieces fried with spices and gram flour.Very tasty recipe to try at home.
Ingredients
vegetarian 4 servings
20 Bitter gourd pieces of 1 1/2 inch size
For the batter:
1 1/2 cup Gram Flour
3/4 cup water
3 tsp ground masala (1 tsp cumin powder,a pinch asafoetida powder, 3 red chillies, few coriander leaves, 3 curry leaves and a pinch garam masala)
2 tsp Salt
3/4 cup refined oil
Directions
Mix the gram flour with ground masala,salt and 3/4 cup water.
Add salt and mix well so that no lumps should form.
Heat oil in the frying pan .Dip the Bittergourd pieces in gramflour batter and shallow fry them on bothsides till golden brown. Similarly make all the pakoras.
Hot and fresh Bittergourd Pakoras are now ready to be served with tomato ketchup or coriander or Mint chutney.
