Mushroom and Barley soup

in urdu khambi aur jow ka shorba.

A dish specially for those persons who are suffring from diabetic.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 5 tbsp barley
    • 2 tsp oil
    • 3 cup mushrooms (SLICED)
    • 1/2 cup fine chopped onion
    • 2 cloves garlic fine chopped
    • 1/4 cup ajmud (celery seeds)
    • 1/4 cup beaten yogurt
    • 2 pinches of low salt.



    1. Make fine powder of barley with the the help of chopper.
    2. Heat the oil in a big pot.
    3. put the meshrooms in the oil and fry it continiously.
    4. In 5/7 minutes the water of meshrooms will be evaporate.
    5. Now put the chopped onion and garlic and again fry for 2 minutes.
    6. Add all ingrediants except yogurt.
    7. When it thrills then low the flame.
    8. Cover with lid and lets boil it untill barley cooks very well.
    9. Now emit lil bit barley mixture and add in the yogurt and mix it very well.
    10. Add this yogurt mixture in the barley mixture back,mix it very well.
    11. Now its ready to serve.
