Malai Qorma

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1/2 kg mutton/chicken
    • 1 cup yogurt
    • 4 no. sliced onion
    • 1 tsp garlic paste
    • 1 tsp ginger paste
    • 3-4 cardamoms
    • 1/2 tsp black cumin seeds(shah zeera)
    • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
    • salt to taste
    • 1/2 tsp red chillie powder
    • 1/4 tsp termuric powder
    • 7-8 no. almonds
    • 1 inch cinnamon
    • pinch of saffron
    • 1/4 cup cream
    • 1/2 cup oil


    1. Fry the onions when it turns into brown.
    2. Take out fried onions from the oil and keep aside.
    3. Now put meat in same oil fry meat for a minute then add garlic,ginger and cook it.
    4. add salt,red chillie,turmeric powder,shah zeera and 2 cups of water as well.
    5. Cook it untill meat willbe tender.
    6. Now grind the fry onion,cordamoms,yogurt,almonds and cinnamon and put this paste in the meat.
    7. cook it for 4-5 minutes in low flame and now add saffron and cream.
    8. sprinkle garam masala and give it dum for 5 minutes.



    I am a vegetarian, but the look of the dish in the pic, is so irresistible, that I must say, is going to earn a lots of 'Ooh laa laa's, from the people who are going to eat it. Kudos to the poster of this recipe.
