Children usually don't like to eat their vegetables. Try this tart for a change.
vegetarian 4 servings
2 cups chopped Spinach
1 cup Mixed Vegetables (Mushroom, Carrot, Tomato)
2 tblsp Sour Cream
1 tblsp Butter
1/2 cup finely diced Onion
1/2 cup chopped Walnuts
1 tsp Sugar
2 tblsp Butter
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp Black pepper
1/2 tsp Garam masala
Pie crust of your choice
1/2 cup chopped Italian Parsley
Cook the Spinach in hot water for 2 mins. Drain & keep aside.
Mix Spinach with Mixed Vegetables, Sour cream, Onion, Walnuts, Butter, Sugar, Black pepper, Garam Masala & Salt.
Press the mixture into an unbaked Pie crust. Sprinkle Parsely & Butter on top. Bake at 180 degree Centigrade for about 30 minutes or until the edges of the crust and top of the pie are lightly browned. Allow to cool to room temperature. Cut & serve.
