no need of ajwain.for mooli paratha use ajwain.u can try with pink salad turnips too.
Ingredients
vegetarian 2 servings
2 cups Whole wheat flour
4 nos.medium sized turnip
1 tbsp yoghurt(curd)
2 green chillies
1/4 tsp turmeric powder(haldi)
1/4 tsp chaat masala(everest)
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
3/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp oil
water as needed
Directions
Peel the skin of turnip and grate it in the grater.
Finely chop the green chillies.
In a large bowl,mix whole wheat flour,grated turnip, yoghurt, chopped green chillis, turmeric powder, chaat masala powder, red chili powder and salt with sufficient water and knead to a stiff dough.
keep aside for 10 minutes.
Dvide the dough into equal balls
Roll the ball with the rolling pin by dusting little flour.
Make it round shape slightly thicker than roti.
Heat the tawa and place the shalgam paratha in it.
Apply oil.Flip to other side when one side is cooked and golden brown spots appears.
