Delicious dish made of cream of rice

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

    1 1/2 cup cream of Rice coconut milk from half coconut 3 cup Yoghurt 1 no. Onion 4 nos. Green Chillis (finely chopped) 3/4 cup Ghee 2 tsp Mustard seeds salt to taste a pinch of Saffron


    Cream of rice (Chawal Ka Rava) is made from coarsely grinding rice. It is available in most grocery stores.

    1. Soak cream of rice in coconut milk and yoghurt for half hour.
    2. Heat ghee in a vessel and add the mustard seeds when it spluters add the onion and chillies, saute.
    3. Add the soaked ingredients in the vessel on low fire till has oil leaves from the sides, add salt.
    4. Remove from the fire pour it into a baking tray.
    5. Add saffron in quarter cup of milk and spray the milk on the batter to give color.
    6. Bake for about 20 minutes at about 375 F.
    7. Serve this with Pudina chutney.
