Kashmiri dum aloo

this is my mum's favourate

Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings


    • 1/2 kg potatoes (round, small,boiled)
    • 5 tsp oil
    • a pinch of hing
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    • 2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
    • salt to taste
    • 1 tsp sauf powder
    • 1/4 tsp dry ginger powder
    • 1 tsp cardamon powder
    • 8 tsp beaten curd
    • 1 tsp garam masala
    • 6 pcs cloves
    • 1 small stick cinnamon
    • 1 green cardamon
    • 2 bay leaves
    • 1 1/2 cup  water

    Directions

    1. prick the boiled potatoes and fry them till red in colour
    2. keep them aside
    3. heat oil ,add hing potatoes  red chilli powder and water.
    4. keep boiling on low flame till water boils.
    5. add salt, sauf powder, ginger powder,big and green  cardamons(both),crushed cinnamon,cloves ,and bayleaves.
    6. finally add curd and cook again for another 2-3 minutes
    7. serve hot with steamed rice.

    Swatiji,,,,if we reduce the cloves,,and we can also add badiyan and fulchkri in it by that you get more taste,,,any way by your way any body get best result....thanks
