it's a sweet dish

Ingredients vegetarian 20 servings

  • 2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 2 nos. Banana, crushed
  • Sugar to taste
  • Vegetable Oil for frying



  1. Mix flour with water to make to a thick batter.
  2. Add sugar.add crushed bananas.
  3. Then take a frying pan and pour oil.
  4. When oil is hot take a tablespoon full of batter and pour them in oil and fry till golden brown.



I think the thick dough needs to be kept aside for atleast an hour, only then we get soft appam.


The recipe looks very simple...but how much water should be added and how thick the batter should be is not at all clear.Please clarify the same.
