Aloo bhorta

Bangladeshi cuisine is famous for Bhartas of diff types. This is one of the most famous bhartas you will get nearly at every house.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 4 tbsp mustard oil
    • 1 chopped onion
    • 3 crushed red chilli
    • 2 boiled potatoes mashed
    • 1/4 c chopped hara dhanya (Cilantro)
    • 1 tsp salt or as desired. 


    1. In a pan heat oil & fry the onion & chilli till golden .
    2. Add Potatoes & stir well until all combined.
    3. Just before removing from heat add hara Dhanya & salt & stir well
    4. Bring out on a plate & flatten from all side with your  hands.
    5. Serve with Boiled rice &  daal. 



    1/2 tsp. of kalonji adds more flavour to it. I do it this way. Try once. You will like it.
