Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    1/2 kg  sem( trimmed and cut into pieces)

    3 potatoes  (cut into cubes)

    2 tbsp oil

    a pinch of hing

    2 tsp cummin seeds

    1/4 tsp turmeric powder

    1 tsp chilli powder

    1 tsp dhaniya powder

    1 tsp saunf powder

    1 tsp garam masala

    2tsp lemon juice or amchur powder

    Directions

    1. haet oil in a kadhai.
    2. add hing ,cummin seeds, turmeric powder,dhaniya powder, saunf powder,cook for 1/2 minute.
    3. add sem and potato  and add 1/4 cup of water.
    4. cook till sem and potato gets tender.
    5. add garammasala and lemon juice.
    6. serve with roti or parantha.
