Palak Paratha

Yummy Green Coloured Parathas...

Nutrition filled, green coloured yummy parathas,,, even enjoyed loads by childern who usually dont eat spinach

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

    • 1 bunch Palak (Spinach)
    • 2 cup Wheat Flour
    • 2-3 Green Chillies or as per taste
    • salt to taste
    • 1/2 inch ginger piece (optional)
    • 1/2 - 1 tsp red chillies powder
    • 1/2 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
    • oil/butter for frying


    1. Wash and clean the palak.
    2. Boil loads of water in a vessel and add cleaned palak to it, turn the gas off and cover the vessel. Leave aside for 10-15 mins. allow to cool.
    3. after that drain the palak and puree the palak in a blender along with the green chillies, also add ginger if using. 
    4. to wheat flour add salt, red chillie powder, jeera and make a dough of it using the palak puree.
    5. divide the mixture into 7-8 lemon sized balls.
    6. roll the parathas, preferably square or triangular in shape, and shallow fry them on a griddle (tawa) on medium flame.
    7. Serve with dahi/butter/ketchup/thecha....
