Khova-Cashwe Roll

Sweet dish made from Cashwenuts & khova

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 100 g Cashew nut powder
    • 50 g unsweetened Khova (Mava)
    • 1/2 cup Sugar
    • 1/2 cup Ghee (clarified butter)
    • 2 tsp Corn Flour
    • a pinch of Cardamom powder
    • 2 tbsp Water
    • Silver Foil for Garnish
    • For Stuffing:
    • 2 tbsp Khova
    • a pinch of Saffron colour
    • few strands of Saffron
    • 1 tbsp Mixed chopped Dry Fruits (Pista, Almond)

    Directions

    1. In a kadai, add Sugar & water. Make 2 string syrup.
    2. In a bowl, mix Cashew nut powder & khova well.
    3. Add it to the Sugar syrup & mix well constantly on low heat.
    4. Add 2 tbsp Ghee. Mix well for a min. Add Cornflour & mix well until it starts bubbling & starts to leaves the sides of the pan. Add another 2 tbsp of Ghee. Add Cardamom powder, mix & remove on a greased plate. Allow to cool.
    5. Mix all the Stuffing ingredients together. Spread it on cooled Cashew-Khova mixture. Roll & cut into 1"pieces. Roll in Silver Foil & Serve.
