masalas for chaats

This masala can be used in any of your evening chaats as it has a blend of spices put together with some roasted smell as well. You can enjoy it over Potato chaats, chana chaats, gol gapas, dahi baras or even in some of your Kebabs.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 2 tbsp cumin seeds
    • 1 tbsp coriander seed
    • 5-6 whole red chilli
    • 1/2 tsp caraway seed
    • 1/4 tsp methi seeds
    • 1/2 tsp mustard seed
    • 1/2 tsp saunf
    • 3 cloves
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper 
    • 1 tsp amchoor
    • 1/2 tsp kala namak
    • 1/2 tsp dry ginger 


    1. On a Tava dry roast Cumin, coriander & red chilli separately.
    2. Allow them to cool down.
    3. Grind all the above masalas with the roasted masalas and make a powder.
    4. Put in an air tight jar & use when required.
