Spicy Lehsun Mathri

Very tasty & spicy dry snack

A dry snack withtangy taste of garlic, must try... comes out so yummy, i acquired this recipe frm my nani (maternal gradma) & now it has becom a hit in my in-laws too...

Ingredients vegetarian 10 servings


    • 250 gm Refined Flour (Maida)
    • 125 gm Gram flour (Besan)
    • 3/4 cup Garlic paste
    • 1/2 cup refined oil
    • 1-1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
    • 1 tsp Crushed Coriander seeds
    • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
    • 1 tsp Carom Seeds
    • 2-1/2 tsp Dried Mango Powder
    • 1-1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
    • Salt to taste
    • Oil For Deep Frying

    Directions

    1. Sieve Maida, Besan & salt together in a bog bowl to mix it properly.
    2. Add Garlic Paste & All Dried Spices & mix  together.
    3. Now pour Smoking hot oil in flour mixture & mix it first with spatula & then rub the whole mixture properly with hands. Take care coz mixture can be still hot.
    4. Knead Medium to tight dough & keep aside for 30 minutes.
    5. Now Roll out small round pooris, Pierce each poori with knife to prevent puffing while frying.
    6. Keep pooris in big plates & let them dry in air for 3-5 hrs, Dont keep them one over another.
    7. Heat oil in a wok/kadai & dep fry pooris on low flame.
    8. Don't fry them for a long coz it may give bitter taste of burnt garlic.
    9. let them cool in air & store in air tight container. Can be kept for 1 month.
