Arabian dumplings.

Dumpling are made all over the world From China to America & every nation has it's own method with very few diff so this is the Arabian method & it can be prepared easily any time.

Ingredients vegetarian 6 servings


    • 1 cup flour
    • 2 tbsp corn flour
    • 1 cup liquid milk
    • 1 tsp sugar
    • 1 tsp instant yeast
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • a pinch of salt
    • oil for deep frying
    For syrup:
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1 tbsp orange blossom water.
    Sesame seeds & fresh whipped cream.

    Directions

    1. In a pot combine the syrup items & make a thick syrup just before removing from heat add Orange blossom water & remove.
    2. Allow it to cool.
    3. Combine both flours & dry ingredients together.
    4. Pour milk & whisk with a whisker to a  nice & creamy batter for pan cakes but a bit thicker.
    5. Leave to rise for an hour.
    6. Heat oil on medium heat &  when it reaches frying point put spoonfuls in the oil.
    7. Allow the dumplings to rise up in the oil & take a nice & golden colour all over (keep stirring it every now & then).
    8. Strain out & dip in syrup.
    9. Remove to a plate & serve with whipped fresh cream on the side & sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

    This recipe was soooo easy and tasted amazing!!!, i couldnt get orange flower blossom so decided to substitute it for good old elichi powder. thanks for the recipe was truly lovely.
