Dumpling are made all over the world From China to America & every nation has it's own method with very few diff so this is the Arabian method & it can be prepared easily any time.
Ingredients
vegetarian 6 servings
1 cup flour
2 tbsp corn flour
1 cup liquid milk
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp instant yeast
1 tsp vanilla
a pinch of salt
oil for deep frying
For syrup:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp orange blossom water.
Sesame seeds & fresh whipped cream.
Directions
In a pot combine the syrup items & make a thick syrup just before removing from heat add Orange blossom water & remove.
Allow it to cool.
Combine both flours & dry ingredients together.
Pour milk & whisk with a whisker to a nice & creamy batter for pan cakes but a bit thicker.
Leave to rise for an hour.
Heat oil on medium heat & when it reaches frying point put spoonfuls in the oil.
Allow the dumplings to rise up in the oil & take a nice & golden colour all over (keep stirring it every now & then).
Strain out & dip in syrup.
Remove to a plate & serve with whipped fresh cream on the side & sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
