Cheese and coriander paratha

Tasty paratha for the family

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 cup Cheese, grated
    • 1/2 cup Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
    • 1 3/4 cup Whole wheat flour (atta)
    • Salt to taste
    • Milk as required
    • 1 inch piece Ginger chopped
    • 2 chopped Green chillies
    • 2 tsp Chaat masala
    • Oil to shallow fry




    1. Place whole-wheat flour and salt in a bowl. Add coriander leaves and knead into a soft dough using milk.
    2. Cover and rest the dough for twenty to twenty five minutes.
    3. Divide the dough into eight equal portions. Shape them into balls.
    4. Mix cheese with ginger, green chillies and chaat masala.
    5. Divide into eight equal portions. Roll out each ball into a medium sized chapati.
    6. Spread a portion of the cheese mixture. Fold up like an envelope and roll out into square paranthas.
    7. Heat a tawa, place the parantha on it and shallow fry, drizzling a little oil or ghee, till both sides are lightly golden brown and crisp
    8. Cut into four and serve immediately.
