Karhai Paneer

Simple masalas, quick, easy and yummy dish you can enjoy in less then 15 min with your friends and family.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1/4 cup oil
    • 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
    • 1/2 tsp garam masala
    • 2 tsp red chilli powder
    • 2 cup ripe tomato cubes
    • 1 1/2 cup  fried paneer cubes.
    • 4 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
    • 3 -4 thick chopped green chilli
    • 1 tbsp ginger cut into thin strips.


    1. Heat Oil and add ginger garlic paste, garam masala and chilli powder.
    2. Fry for 3 min then add tomatoes and fry until water evaporates from it and a thick gravy is left.
    3. Add paneer and simmer over low heat for 5 min.
    4. Add chopped coriander, green chilli and ginger strips and toss 3-5 times  to combine all.
    5. Remove from heat and serve with hot naan and raita.

    Hi Anamtha, thanks & u can add onion but there is no need as the gravy is made from the tomatoes. Hope tat helped. @ Ameena ASAK, thanks 4 appreciating my recipes.


    It is easy receipe and tasty. Can i add onions to this?

    Hi Meghna, No in tis specific Karhai Paneer I do not use Turmeric, the colour comes 4m tomatoes and red chili powder. Give it a try & u'll know once u have tasted it.Cheers.
