Bhindi Gosht

A great combination of vegetable and meat.U like it.

Ingredients non vegetarian 6 servings

    • 1 kg beaf or mutton(without bones)
    • 750 gm okra
    • 1/2 cup lemon juice
    • 3 tbsp butter
    • 3 tbsp olive oil
    • 1 chopped onion
    • 1 tbsp garlic paste
    • 1 tbsp tomato paste
    • 4 chopped tomatoes
    • 2 cups chicken stock
    • salt to taste
    • black pepper to taste
    • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
    • 1 tbsp dried mint leaves


    1. Cut the top and bottom parts of okra and put it in a bowl and add salt and half quantity of lemon juice and keep aside for 20 minutes.
    2. Heat a butter and oil in a sauce pan now add meat and roast it.
    3. Add onion and garlic paste and stirr it for 1 minute.
    4. Now add tomato paste,chopped tomatoes,chicken stock,salt,black pepper and cook it until it boils.
    5. When it boils then low the flame and cover it with lid and let it cook for 45 minutes.
    6. Add okras with red chilli powder and dried mint leaves and cook it for 25 minutes with a lid.
    7. When meat is tenderd then add remaining lemon juice.
    8. Serve it with bagharay rice or roti.
