Pancake bread

It is a very delicious roti kind of pancake and many countries have a similar pancake made in this manner but with diff fillings.

Ingredients vegetarian 10 servings


    • 2 cup warm water
    • 4 cup flour
    • 4 tsp yeast
    • 4 tbsp sugar
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 2 tbsp oil
    Filling:
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts+ crushed almond
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • butter for shallow frying.

    Directions

    1. In a deep bowel pour the water, add sugar, yeast and oil stir to dissolve all.
    2. Add oil then flour and knead to a very pliable dough.
    3. Set aside to rise for an hour
    4. Divide the dough into 16 balls.
    5. and set aside for 5 min
    6. Mix the filling mixture and fill each ball with filling. 
    7. Seal the balls and fry two at a time.
    8. When the bottom side of the ball has slightly browned press the ball to a semi thick round pancake(from the top) with a flat spoon.
    9. Turn around and allow the other side to brown.
    10. Cover the pan with a lid and cook on low for 1-2 min so that it is cooked thoroughly inside.
    11. Serve hot with extra sprinkling of the filling and syrup on the top if desired and enjoy.

    Yes Hanabee u will luv it when the melted brown sugar comes out. It tastes something like Cinnamon buns but fried.

    Never heard of these pancakes they are totally different from the original ones. Even though the original one are easier to make I think these will also taste excellent. Thank you.
