Mango Shrikand

Shrikand is my husbands favourite sweet.It is the season of Mangoes ,hence thought of making a variation by adding was yummuy.Hence, thought of sharing with you all.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings

    • 1 Kg full cream yogurt
    • 1 cup mango pulp ( or 2 Alphanso mangoes)
    • 1/2 cup sugar ( adjust sugar to the sweetness of mango)
    • few strands of saffron
    • 4-5 elaichi
    • chopped badam, cashew and pista for garnishing


    1. Hang the yoghurt in a muslin cloth overnight and drain the whey
    2. In a blender add sugar, saffron and elaichi and blend until the sugar gets powdered.
    3. Then add the hung yoghurt and mango pulp and whip until all gets blended well.
    4. pour it in a bowl and garnish with nuts and refrigerate it for 3 hours
    5. Serve it chill with puris .
