Kaju Curry

curry preparation with dry fruits

Ingredients vegetarian 1 servings

    • 200 gm khoya (grated)
    • 200 gm paneer (cubes)
    • 100 gm cashew nuts
    • 20 gm raisin
    • 4-5 green cardamoms
    • 1 stick cinnamon
    • 5 cloves
    • 2-3 bay leaves (crushed)
    • Salt to taste
    • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
    • ¼ tsp garam masala
    • 1 tbsp desiccated coconut
    • 2 onion chopped
    • 2 big tomatoes (chopped)
    • 5 flakes of garlic (chopped)
    • 2 tbsp ghee
    • 1 piece of ginger chopped
    • Coriander leaves for garnishing


    1. Melt butter in a kadai.
    2. Fry  paneer and cashew nuts on medium heat till they are golden in color put it on side.
    3. take a another pan with enough oil or butter fry onion till golden brown.
    4. now add tomatoes, garlic and ginger and cook till tomatoes are done.
    5. take green cardamoms, cinnamon, cloves, coconut and grind it to a fine paste.
    6. add this paste in to onion tomato mixture & fry this paste for a minute, then add salt, bay leaves, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala.
    7. when oil leaves a side add cashew nuts, raisin, paneer, khoya and ½ cup water. Cover and cook for 2-3 min. 
    8. Garnish with coriander leaves.

    excellent . didn,t have paneer tried instead with mixed veg . came out well
