Aloo dum done with coconut milk

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 8 Potatoes (medium size)
    • ½ Coconut
    • 4 tbsp Oil
    • 1 tbsp Ginger paste
    • 4 Cloves
    • 4 Green cardamom
    • 1" Stick of Cinnamon
    • 2 tsp Sugar
    • salt to taste
    • 2 Bay leaves
    • 1 tsp Ghee

    Directions

    1. Boil the potatoes,peel the skin and cut them into half.
    2. Grate the coconut.warm half cup of water and mix the grated coconut in the water.then strain after sometime.it'll give you the coconut milk.
    3. Grind cloves,green cardamoms and cinnamon.
    4. Heat oil in a kadai ,put bay leaves and ginger paste. saute for 2 minutes.
    5. Add the ground garam masala.fry for 1 minute and add the potatoes.
    6. Fry them for 2-3 minutes .pour in the coconut milk.
    7. Add sugar and salt.then put ghee.
    8. Remove from fire when the gravy thickens.
    9. If you want more gravy you can add a little water.

    Instead of putting coconut milk If I put some vegetable mixed with paneer will it not give u a different taste
