Sanjre ki Sabzi

Its a dish made from the flowers of drumstick

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • Seenghi flowers (Drumstick tree's flowers)
    • 2 Onions  (Thinly chopped)
    • 2 Tomatoes  (diced)
    • 4 Green Chilly  (Thinly chopped)
    • 4 cloves Garlic  (mashed)
    • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
    • 1 tsp each of Red chilly-Turmeric-Coriander-Garam masala
    • Salt to taste
    • 2 tbsp Grated Coconut
    • Coriander leaves

    Directions

    1. Boil the senghi flowers ( also know as sanjre ke phool) with salt. Mash it after it is boiled.
    2. Meanwhile, heat a pan and add mustard seeds in it.
    3. Add garlic, coconut, green chilly, and onions. When the colour changes add tomatoes and spices.
    4. Add mashed senghi flowers and cover the pan. The flame should be low.
    5. Every 3 minutes, you have to toss the vegetable and add 3 spoons of water.
    6. After 15 minutes, off the flame and garnish it with coriander leaves.
    7. This vegetable goes very well with bajre or makke ki roti.
