It is an authentic kashmiri cuisine, generally served in marriages and special functions.
Ingredients
non vegetarian 2 servings
1 cup full of Mutton mince
½ tsp. cummin-coriander powder
½ tsp. ginger powder
1 tsp. fennel powder
salt to taste
1 bay leaf
3-4 cloves
1 onion, chopped
½ tsp. garam masala powder
1 cup curd, beaten
2 tbsp. ghee
1 tsp. coriander leaves, chopped
Directions
Mix together mince, salt, 1/2 tsp. fennel powder and coriander-cummin powder. Shape into marble sized balls.
Boil 2 cups of water along with salt, 1 bay leaf and cloves. Drop in the prepared mince balls and cook, uncovered for 15-20 minutes.
Heat ghee in a pan. Add the chopped onion and fry till light brown. Add the beaten curd, ginger powder, garam masala powder and salt to taste. Simmer on low heat for 4-5 minutes.
Add the boiled Koftas along with the water in which it was boiled. Cover and cook for 8-10 minutes.
