tasty way of having oats

Ingredients vegetarian 1 servings


    • 1 cup Vegetables (carrots, beans, Potatoes)
    • ½ cup Oats
    • ½ cup Semolina 
    • 10-15 Curry leaves 
    • 1 tsp Mustard seeds 
    • 2-3 tsp Oil 
    • Salt to taste
    • 1 cup Water

    Directions

        1. Chop Vegetables in small pieces , heat oil in a pan , saute vegetables and cook for 5-10 mins or till the vegetables are cooked. keep aside
        2. Heat oil in a pan add Mustard seeds, when the crackle add curry leaves.
        3. Add water, when it boils add oats, semolina , vegetables and keep mixing till water dries and the oats are cooked. If the Upma turns very dry, add little bit of water to bring it to a consistency that you prefer
        4. Serve hot
