Mixed veggies in white sauce

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings

    • 4 cups Mixed veggies of your choice (baby corn, carrots, cauliflower, brocoli, french beans)
    • 1 cup Spinach leaves, washed and clean 
    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/4 cup Butter salted
    • 1 cup Milk
    • 1/4 cup mozzarella shredded cheese
    • salt
    • coarse pepper powder
    • water for steaming the veggies
    • a drop of oil
    • a pinch of red chili flakes or oregano


    1. Wash and cut all veggies in big chunks.
    2. In a steamer steam all the veggies along with the spinach leaves until tender.
    3. While the veggies are getting ready, heat butter with a drop of oil in the sauce pan.
    4. Add all-purpose flour gradually to it and mix well with quick stirs
    5. Pour in milk and keep stirring
    6. When it thickens and is ready bring it off the gas and add salt and pepper powder seasoning.
    7. Add in shredded cheese.
    8. Now in a large serving bowl add the steamed veggies and pour the hot white sauce over it.
    9. Check for seasoning and garnish with red chili flakes or oregano.
    10. Ready to gain praises!
