Vaal Soup

Soup for in between meals or as appetizer. Nutritious, low calorie,fast to cook and good to have.

Ingredients vegetarian 4 servings


    • 2.5 cups sprouted surti vaal
    • 3 tsp lemon juice
    • 1 1/2 tsp grated ginger
    • 1 tsp green chilly paste
    • 5 tsp sugar
    • 1 tsp turmeric powder
    • salt to taste

    for tadka: oil ,cumin seeds and 2-3 cloves.

    Directions

    1. Put the Vaal in warm water and peel it (remove the outer covering).
    2. Boil the Vaal in four glasses of water till it gets completly cooked.
    3. Then add turmeric powder, lemon juice, ginger, chilly paste, sugar and salt to taste.Let it boil for 10 mins on a low flame.
    4. FOR TADKA Put little oil in a pan add jeera, cloves. After oil gets heated add it to the soup.
    5. Serve hot with coriander leaves.
