Elaichi Mutton

Cardamom flavored mutton

Simple and aromatic recipe for mutton. Uses no oil.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

  • 2 lbs. Mutton
  • 1 lb Onion
  • 10 nos. Cardamom
  • 2 tsps. Black Pepper
  • Cilantro for garnishing
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Wash and put the mutton in cooker with onions and salt and pressure cook for 10 mins without water.
  2. After the cooker has cooled down, open and put on large flame and dry up the water.
  3. Then add ground pepper powder and elaichi.
  4. Mix well then add a glass of water and keep on slow flame for 10 mins and it is ready to serve.
  5. Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rice or rotis.

Mr. Muthukumar, do not worry the pressure cook will not explode but it is also good to follow the instruction as Neelam has advised to cook meet for only ten minutes. I have been practicing when I cook meet for Polav here in Afghanistan.

HI, this recipe seem to b very tasty i believe... so i would lyk to get cleared wid this cilantro which u have used for garnishing, wat is tat exactly.. if my problem is cleared wid it i would definitely try out this recipe as my hubby is very crazy abt d mutton dishes... n if u can send me sum more recipes lyk this on my email id, so tat i can prepare it for my hubby.... I wish to know how one may pressure cook the mutton without any water? Won't there be an explosion or something ? Thanks. If this query is answered I am seriously thinking of trying this recipe. Thanks. Muthukumar
