Garlic Chicken

Although this recipe uses some chinese ingredients, this is a very popular recipe at Indian restaurants.

Ingredients non vegetarian 4 servings

  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1½ pinches of Salt, to taste
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 nos. Egg
  • 3 tsps. Corn Flour
  • 6 cloves Garlic
  • Vegetable Oil for frying
  • 1 kg Chicken, boneless breast


  1. Cut chicken breasts into 1 inch cubes.
  2. Marinate with soya sauce , sesame oil, garlic paste(only 3 garlic pods) and salt for about 1 hour.
  3. After marination, beat the eggs and corn flour together.
  4. Add the marinated chicken pieces to this.
  5. Heat oil in wok or in deep fryer. Drop the chicken pieces into the oil. Fry until golden brown.
  6. Remove from oil and place on absorbant tissue paper to let the excess oil drain.
  7. In the same frying pan crush the remaining 3 garlic pods and fry until golden brown.
  8. Put the chicken into the frying pan and fry for one minute.
  9. Remove and serve with ketchup.
