Tasty moong dal

easy to make & served with roti

Ingredients vegetarian 2 servings


    • 1 cup moong dal
    • 1 med sized onion sliced
    • few coriander leaves chopped
    • 2 green chillies chopped
    • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
    • 1 pinch turmeric powder
    • salt to taste
    • 2 tbsp oil

    Directions

    1. Heat oil in a cooker, fry sliced onions till its light brown.
    2. Add ginger-garlic paste, coriander leaves, green chillies, turmeric powder & mix well.
    3. Then add moong dal in to it & salt to taste. Add desired amount of water & pressure cook untill the dal is done.
    4. Serve hot with roti's.

    You can add a tarkar of oil/ghee, a pinch of hing, jeera, methi till it crackles, switch of the heat and add red chillie powder and pour on top of the dal.
