High calories sheera but nobody can refrain from eating! In a parties we can add this dish as a sweet with main course.
Ingredients
vegetarian 6 servings
2 cup mung daal
3 cup sugar
2 cup ghee
1 cup khoya
2 tsp broken cashew
2 tsp raisins
2 tsp broken almonds
2 tsp cardamom powder
Directions
Soak daal for 4-5 hours & then grind it coarsely, don't grind it finely.
Heat a thick base pan with ghee, add daal in ghee & fry it on medium heat at least for 20-25 min, while frying the yellowish daal mixture will turns in to light brown colored mixture.
Now slowly add khoya & keep mixing it with daal, once it mixed properly add sugar in it & keep frying it again for 8-10 min.
Remove it from fire & add cardamom, cashews, raisins & almonds & mix them well with sheera.
It gives a delicious taste when it is hot so try to serve it hot.
